The full form of IP subject is Informatics Practices.
What is IPÂ
Informatics Practices is an elective subject in CBSE and many of the state Boards. The purpose of teaching IP subjects to Commerce students is to introduce a computer, how it works, and how to work on it.
And this is my small initiative to teach IP in a very comfortable language so the students can understand the concept behind IP.
The objective of IP Subject
1. To gain a working knowledge of Computer systems and Networking.
First of all, we have to understand what is a computer system. How it works. Its hardware components. And how the computer takes input, performs any work, and gives output.
The computer system is made of two things Hardware and Software.
The below list shows the main Hardware component used in a computer system.
- Monitor
- CPU
- Keyboard
- Mouse
2. To understand the process of software development.
Software is the soul of computers. Until the software is not installed on the computer. It can not perform any task. It remains idle.
In this face of IP, we will study How to develop Software or SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle).
3. To gain skills in Front-end and Back-end development.
Any software has two faces first is Front-end and the second is Back-end. When we develop any software then they are used. we will study them.
4. To understand the concept of Open Source Software.
In our daily lives, personal or professional, we use so many software, most of which we have to purchase before using. and we have to spend money to use the software. Instead of this, we can go for Open Source Software (OSS) this software are freely available on the internet. we can use them without paying any money.
These are some facts, on which our (Informatics Practices) IP subject is based. I will complete all topics of Informatics Practices (IP subject).
