Wireless Media / Unguided Media
Where there is no physical medium present like wire so how data is transmitted.
Wireless data transmission is possible using waves like Radio waves, Microwave and Infrared. These waves use different types of frequency bands to transmit data.
Wireless Network |
1. Radio Wave
Radio waves are generated by Radio Transmitter and received by Radio Receiver.
Radio waves are Omni Directional means they can travel in all directions from the transmitter.
The frequency range of Radio waves lies between 3 kHz to 300 GHz.
Application of Radiowaves is FM Radio, TV, Satellite communication, etc.

2. Microwave
Microwaves are part of Radio waves.
The frequency of Microwaves lies between 300 MHz to 300 GHz.
Microwaves are unidirectional so in this transmission Transmitter and Receiver must be in visible contact with each other. This type of Transmission is called “Line of Sight“.
It is used in Satellite, Radar, and other short-distance communication.

3. Infrared
Infrared is used for very short-range communication because of its high-frequency band.
The infrared frequency lies between 300 GHz to 400 THz.

I am appreciative of this blog's ability to provide information on such an important subject Wireless Network Design Houston. I discovered other segments here, and I'm excited to put these new instructions to use.
